WELCOME! These GridCast podcasts and blogs give you a grassroots view of
the hottest news at
the cutting edge of scientific grids.
What is a GridCast? GridCasts take you behind the scenes of some of the most exciting grid computing events in the world. Share in the excitement
as renowned speakers reveal the lastest in grid technologies and grid-powered scientific results; check out what happens at after dark at post-conference parties, where much of the real networking happens...

Simone Campana
Simone Campana is a physicist who
betrayed his past and devoted himself to computing. Simone earned
his PhD from the University of California-Riverside, moved to CERN
for "Gridification" (and
hibernation, given the average 20-degree-Celsius difference between
California and Geneva). He currently supports the integration of the
LHC high energy
physics experiments with the LCG/EGEE middleware.
James Casey
James is a staff member at CERN working on the Worldwide LCG
Service. He first came to CERN in 1994 as a summer student
in the team that
created the web, and returned in 2002 to help build
the worldwide grid for LHC computing.
Rosy Mondardini
A HEP physicist who turned to communication, since 2002 Rosy has worked
on the dissimination acitivities for Grid development projects
at CERN.
Rosy's creativity finds its outlet in websites (such
as GridCafe), animations, videos...
Louis Poncet
Louis is a system engineer specializing in large-scale fabric management
and security. He has been working in Grid computing for HEP for 5
years
and manages
testbeds of hundreds of machines to
support and create administrative tools for
fabric deployment.
Helen Victoria
Thomson
Helen has just completed a masters in Science Communication in the UK,
and is visiting CERN on a 3 month internship. She is currently writing
about Grid activities for Grid Today, Grid PP and International Science
Grid This Week.
