SuperComputing 2008 (SC08) - BLOGGERS

Catherine Gater Claire Devereux
Claire Devereux moved to the world of IT late in life after many years spent trudging around muddy fields in welly boots conducting ecological research. From lack of data, to a lack of data solutions, Claire now manages the UK & Ireland regional consortium in the EGEE and NGS projects and is also involved in grid computing outreach and dissemination activities.
Cristy Burne Tim Rupp
Tim works with the Computer Security Team at Fermilab in Batavia Illinois where he spends most of his time on the technical implementation of the lab's security policy. His duties range from software development to community awareness, with a focus on security. Outside of his work at FNAL he contributes development effort and support to a number of open source projects, and maintains one of his own.
ben_clifford

Ben Clifford
Ben has been working on grid software since the dawn of the 21st Century. He trained as a mathematician before moving into software development, working mostly on the Globus Toolkit and Swift. When he isn't doing that, he spends most of him time on a global barhopping mission.

Danielle Amy Venton

David Wallom
David is the technical manager of the Oxford e-Research Centre and technical director of the UK National Grid Service. When not messing around with computers he spends most of his time either trying to sell his house (not the easiest thing in Britain at the moment!), or rebuilding his 1934 vintage racing car.

Cristy Burne Neasan O'Neill
Neasan works on dissemination for GridPP and Enabling Grids for EsciencE (EGEE). With a background in chemistry and science communication he has been working with the Grid community since January 2006. Outside work he can be found either playing with his SLR camera or listening to what can only be described as music with a minority appeal. Described by at least one person as polite and charmimg he refutes those, and similar, claims.
